Al-Wahbah Crater is the largest and deepest volcanic crater in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. 🇸🇦

Why stargazing there? ✨🌌
It’s far from city glow with dry desert air and open horizons—perfect for deep-sky views. Even better, New Moon is on Nov 20 🌑, so Nov 21 gives extra-dark skies.

What we might see on Nov 21 (weather permitting) 🔭🌠
• Uranus at opposition (its best night of the year—brightest and up all night).
• Saturn with the rings; Jupiter later at night. 🪐
• Deep-sky showpieces: Galaxies, Clusters, and Nebulas (great targets in dark conditions). 🌌
• Bonus: Some meteors (Shooting Stars) 🌠☄️

Stops (and why they matter) 📍
• Marble Mountain — a historic marble-cutting site on the road to Wahbah. You can still spot pale cut faces and scattered fragments from past quarrying. 🏔️🪨📸
• Darb Zubaydah: Aqeeq Pool & Al-Kharabah Pool — early-Islamic water reservoirs that showcase brilliant desert-engineering and add real heritage context to the trip. 🏛️💧
